Final Thoughts

I cant believe junior year is almost over which means so is this assignment. Believe it or not, i enjoyed a lot writting these blogs and publishing them. Before all my thoughts and experiences were recorded by me in my diary but after i started blogging, my thoughts are been read by people throughout the world! This blog not only made me smarter, by all the facts that i wrote in my blogs, but even gave me confidence. I always felt inferior about my language but blog helped my overcome my fear. I am looknig forward to continuing this blog for my own interest and maybe i will start blogging about my life instead of random facts. :)

Dog Facts ! woof woof

1. If you love dogs, but dislike the sound of barking and if you have been throught times when your neighbours dog woke you up in the middle of the night because of its loud barking? Well now you can get a dog that cant bark!

" Basenji dog is a breed of dog that does not bark, but instead makes a yodel-like sound."

2. "Eighty percent of dog owners buy their dog a present for holidays and birthdays. More than  half of them sign letters and cards from themselves and their pets."

I wish someone was that generous that they would give me a dog for my birthday present. But even if i get one, my parents wont let me have a dog because they dont fancy dogs as much as i do. :(

3. "87% of dog owners say their dog curls up beside them or at their feet while they watch TV."

And this is why dogs are the closest animals human. They not only understant what their owner is saying but even start acting like the way their owner is. Dogs are so loyal and i love dogs!!

4. "A dog’s nose print is as unique as a human’s finger print and can be used to accurately identify them."

Ever looked closely to a dog's nose's print? Well i havent, i would if i had a dog. But isnt it cool how dogs have nose prints, cows have tongue prints and humans have hand prints? Baby Facts !

1. "Babies have no kneecaps when they are born."
 Instead they have cartilage that resembles kneecaps. No wonder why babies can't crawl when they are born. All they can do it move on their back. But they are so adorable!

2. "May Babies Are The Heaviest"
One would think that January sees the heaviest babies given all the holiday eating but this is untrue. May is actually the month that sees the heaviest babies born. Usually about an average of 200 grams heavier than any other month. Isn't that weird?

3. "Babies cant cry"
 They can scream and holler for what they want or need, but newborns can’t technically cry. Tears can’t actually be created or released until about three weeks in. However, in some cases, it isn’t unusual for babies to shed their first tears until four or five months. Maybe because their tearducts arent fully developed.

4. "A Turned Head Means A Full Belly"
Your newborn didn’t just see something interesting. If he or she turns her head at a spoonful of food, it is because they are full. This is also where shaking your head “no” comes from. I always thought that they were still hungry because they dont stop pooping...

5. "Super Baby!"
Pound for pound, your baby is stronger than many animals. An oxen is the best example of compatible strength. Their strongest muscles? The legs. But if they are stronger that the other animals then why cant they start walking or crawling from the time they are born just the animal babies.

More Weird Phobias !!

1. "Venustraphobia: Also known as caligynephobia, this is the fear of beautiful women"
  I think one of the reasons that poeple to have this phobia is because they might be suffering from low self-confidence and might be putting too much pressure on themselves to maintain their appearances. They might eve nbe scared of rejection from a girl. This is sad because if they find a lot of women to be beautiful, they wont have the guts to ask any girl out because they will be scared of her.

2. "Anthropophobia: This phobia literally refers to the fear of people but can also mean the fear of having company."
  I believe that one knows the true meaning of life only when they are loved by others and give love to other. My friends are family has always been my number one priority in my life and am ready to do anything for them. Without people in my life, I would have been the most depressed person in the world and would probably kill myself for not being love.

3. "Aphephobia: This phobia causes people to feel afraid when touched."
Scientist say that one of the reason why people are tickelish is because they get anxious when someone touches them. Some poeple even get scared when someone touches them and that is was causes them to be Aphephobic.

4. "Autodysomophobia: If you have a bad or "vile" odor, you may trigger someone who has autodysomophobia"

 And i really dont no what to say to that...I no i get pretty self-concious when my breath is bad or when i come from gym and my clothes smells bad, but i have never really gotten scared when someone else smells bad. I can understand when it smells freakingly horrible.

 

5. "Gamophobia: It’s not just an excuse: some people actually have a valid fear of getting married."

  I really wonder why because they are scared to get married.

Strange Phobias

1.  Sidonglobophobia - Fear of Cotton Ball
     A woman scared of cotton ball

I learnt this phobia in my psychology class and my teacher showed this video of how that woman is dreadful of cotton balls. At first i thought that she was just acting to get attention but then I i realized that she is actually scared of them. No one really knows the reason why she is scared of them.

2. Chromophobia - The fear of Bright Colors

  Imagine walking into a store that is filled with bright color clothes. Most of the people would get excited to try on and buy the clothes, but some would scream and run away. Or if they went over their friends house the first time and went in their room with bright color walls. Man they would have a panic attack. Worst case senerio would be a person going to Las Vegas.  

3. Lepidopterophobia - Fear of Butterflies

  I am sorry to say this but butterfly is the only insect that is actually beautiful. They are so delicate and pretty how could anyone be scared of it? One of the famous people that is lepidopterphobic is Nicole Kidman. Yup.

4. Eisoptrophobia - Fear of your Own Reflection.

  I don't know what to say to that. I sometimes spends in front of a mirror withe dacing or singing or doing my hair. I really can't live without knowing how I look like. But i wonder if a person who suffers from Eisoptrophobia is scared to look at their own picture, they would indirectly be looking at their own reflection...

Random Facts

1. "Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning."

 Remember the old saying, 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'? I feel like that saying has been forgotten in todays world. The apple won't only keep you away from the doctor but even from making you go on a diet. With low in calories, people would actually be awake, healthy and in a good shape than if they had coffie. Isn't that just awesome!?

2. "Eating 11 pounds of apples will make you gain one pound of weight"

  So apples not only wake you up in the morning but even keeps you fit by barely having ny calories in it? OMG this fruit is just amazing! I never knew an apple has so many good qualities in it. Maybe thats why my grandma is always forcing me to eat apples. And for some reason I really like that pic of the apple. lol.

3. "In the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the words around The Mirror of Erised: Erised is Desire spelled backward, or how it would appear in a mirror. Also, the inscription reads "Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi," which read in a mirror reads, "I show not your face but your hearts desire."
 To be honest, I am a big fan of Harry Potter books and I didn't realize why it was written that way till the time I read this. J.K.Rowling not only has deep meanings behind her sci-fi book but even uses a whole lot of other language's word like, Lord Voldemort's snake is named Nagini which comes from the Sanskrit word Nagin meaning female snake. Her amazing ideas keep me captivated in her books.

4. "Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, never telephoned his wife or mother because they were both deaf."
  How ironic and sad is that. I think the main reason to why he invented telephone was because he really wanted to communicate to the two most important women in his life. He wanted to talk to them and wanted them to listen to his feelings. If you ever noticed, you would see how poeple make new things to make their lives easier like, Thomas Edison invented light bulb because he was scared to darkness, Walt Disney created mickey mouse because he was afraid to mouse. Everything we do, feel, think, scared off, are interrelated.

5. "Strawberries are a member of the rose family."

 Ever wondered why strawberries taste so sweet? Thts because they are related to the sweet, smelling flowers, Roses. Thats one of the reasons why people give strawberries and roses together on valentines day. By ther way that picture was taken by me :)
